Juan Valdez is born and raised in the Dominican Republic. In 2005 he became a computer system engineer from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and later in 2009 he completed a master in the University of Florida as a transportation and logistics consultant.  

In 2016 Juan was certified in UNIVE as a Manager in Maritime Transportation. 

Juan Valdez has been in the shipping industry since 2006 working for Tropical Shipping in different areas. He has been promoted 5 times inside the organization and currently is the Commercial Manager for the Dominican Republic. 

Juan has a short family, one brother and one kid. He plans to continue growing in the international logistic industry.
